I TOOK SOME OF THE WAROFF'S DIET PEPSI WITH LIME

So, this is what's going on with me today. My friend Alex called and left a message asking whether or not breaking a promise is immoral or not. I didn't call him back yet because, apart from establishing some specific account of morality, there is a lot that needs to be said about this that involves intention, obligation, and fulfillment of contractual agreements to say the least. I'll get back to him on Friday.

My friend Steve called this morning and woke me up--what a putz. He asked me some things about key change in music and the change of mood in a composition. I called him back already and we talked a bit about keys, modes, intervals, relative minors and the concept of affect in music, particularly in Bach's famous Toccata and Fugue in d-minor.

I went to my Latin class and came home and made a huge pot of vegetable soup--and damn if it isn't exquisite. I munched two bowls of it and watched a re-run of Paula's Place (the so-called "Baroness of Butter") on the cooking channel. (I'm addicted to that station. Where else, besides in sports, can you tune in to watch true masters at their craft? It's like watching excellence in action.)

Now, I have a seminar presentation for my Plato and Platonism class. I have to write a paper on, and summarize for the class, John M Cooper's article " Plato's Theory Of Human Motivation" from the History of Philosophy Quarterly, Vol.1,#1,Jan.1984.
